Cooperation between GKI Economic Research Co. and the Audi Hungária Independent Trade Union
GKI Economic Research Co. is proud to report that, at the request of the Audi Hungária Independent Trade Union (AHFSZ), it is providing professional support for the organisation’s wage negotiation process this year. The AHFSZ – which represents the interests of employees at one of Hungary’s most significant industrial companies – decided during the preparatory phase to involve an independent economic researcher in the analytical work underpinning the negotiations. It is an honour for our institute that, after considering several options, the trade union chose GKI.
Methodological reliability and data quality
In our analysis, we aimed to provide a comprehensive picture of the relevant economic environment, thereby supporting the trade union’s preparation for the negotiations. It is particularly valuable feedback for us that, according to the trade union’s experience, the GKI analysis and their own domestic and international observations are in line with each other.
Shared values: independence and transparency
Since its founding, GKI Economic Research Co. has been committed to professional independence and objective analysis. The AHFSZ shares this core value with us, having expressly emphasised: “The working group’s goal was to build the preparation for wage negotiations on independent, transparent and objective foundations.” This alignment in approach makes our cooperation particularly effective.
The Audi Hungária Independent Trade Union among our partners
It is of paramount importance for GKI that its expertise be available to all actors of the Hungarian economy – companies, government bodies, civil organisations and trade unions alike. The partnership developed with the AHFSZ is a good example of how independent economic research can contribute to improving the quality of domestic labour market dialogue. We are proud to count the Audi Hungária Independent Trade Union among our partners, and we trust that our professional support contributes to the effective functioning of employee representation.
