Dr. Márton Beck is a corporate finance and investment law expert with two decades of domestic and international experience. He is also active as a lecturer at the Faculty of Business, Communication and Tourism of the Budapest Metropolitan University. He pursued his studies in Hungary and the Middle East, and was a 2011 fellow of the World Learning Program supported by the U.S. Department of the Interior. His expertise in corporate finance, investment strategies, and legal regulation is recognized internationally.

Nimer Hannya Dr.Chief of the Board of Directors

Dr. Nimer Hannya is an internationally recognized expert in banking, finance, and funding processes. His research focuses on the economic impacts of the banking system and the analysis of changes in financing mechanisms. Hannya is committed to promoting financial innovation and digital transformation, contributing through her professional work to greater transparency and efficiency in economic processes.

Helga ZalánMember of the Board of Directors

Helga Zalán has over 15 years of professional experience in banking risk management and structured finance. Her expertise covers corporate lending, venture capital, and the design of alternative financing models. She plays an active role in GKI Zrt.’s financial research and strategic projects, contributing to their success. Thanks to her broad experience, she also plays a key role in improving the transparency and efficiency of banking systems.

Supervisory Board

Péter Ákos Bod

Péter Ákos Bod is a professor at Corvinus University of Budapest and a Doctor of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He earned his degree in economics in 1975 in Budapest. Before 1990, he worked in research institutes and taught at universities both in Hungary and abroad, including serving as a UN advisor in the developing world. He was Minister of Industry and Trade between 1990 and 1991, and Governor of the Hungarian National Bank from 1991 to 1994. Between 1995 and 1997, he was a member of the Board of Directors of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in London. He then returned to academia. Alongside his teaching activities, he is a board member of Akadémiai Kiadó, sits on the editorial boards of several academic journals, and serves as Vice President of the Hungarian Economic Association.

Arnold Tóth PhD

Arnold Tóth has been teaching in higher education since 2002, primarily in the fields of economics, finance, and business management. He earned his PhD in 2014 and completed his habilitation in 2023. His research focuses on the evaluation of domestic macroeconomic trends, current labor market issues, and the economic dynamics related to corporate decision-making. In addition to his academic rigor, he emphasizes the importance of social and human values. Beyond his university role, he has worked as a market researcher, consultant, and controller in the business sector.

Raymund Petz

Raymund Petz specializes in business cycle research, analyzing the cyclicality of economic development using empirical research methods. He coordinates GKI’s surveys and also conducts in-depth research on the construction industry and real estate sector, examining not only their economic aspects but also their social, environmental, and sustainability dimensions. He has also been involved in macroeconomic forecasting for several decades.

Dr. László Molnár

Research focus: His areas of research include regional disparities, municipal development, the labor market, inflation and its driving factors, as well as investment activity. Within labor market studies, he investigates current trends and key factors influencing wages. Regarding regional and local development, he explores the links between economic policy and municipal-level prosperity.

Attila Udvardi

Research focus: With over two decades of experience in economic research and consulting, he coordinates numerous strategic studies and corporate consulting projects, and actively contributes to micro- and macroeconomic analyses and forecasts. His main fields of expertise include household consumption, savings behavior, and the economic aspects of commerce, tourism, and healthcare. He is also a regular speaker at various economic forums.

Raymund Petz

Research focus: He primarily focuses on business cycle research, applying empirical methods to examine the cyclicality of economic development. He coordinates GKI’s survey activities. His other research area covers the construction industry and real estate sector, exploring not only economic but also social, environmental, and sustainability aspects. He has also been engaged in macroeconomic forecasting for several decades.

Dr. Dénes Bank

Research focus: His research centers on the interconnections between sustainability, energy, and transport. He analyzes the economic and social impacts of sustainable energy use and environmentally friendly transport solutions, with a special focus on environmental challenges and the advancement of sustainable development.

Dr. Katalin Pál Némethné

Research focus: She studies short- and long-term trends in industry and agriculture. Holding a PhD in innovation studies, her research explores how markets, competition, and institutional frameworks influence economic development and corporate behavior. She also investigates decision-making processes within companies and is the translator of Carl Menger’s works.

His main research topics include the sustainability of public finances and the impact of Hungarian tax reforms on efficiency and equity. His analyses examine both the economic and social consequences of policy decisions.
